Que Pasa Cantina is Rapid City’s modern Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar. Using fresh ingredients and authentic cooking methods they created sizzling entrees you’re sure to love. Whether you like it on the rocks or blended, they carry over 52 featured labeled tequila’s so they’re always ready to make you your perfect margarita. On top of delicious food and ice-cold beverages, Que Pasa’s rooftop cantina provides the perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal surrounded by city lights.

2 - Tally's Silver Spoon
Specializing in modern cuisine, Tally’s is famously known around town as a brilliant breakfast joint, but it doesn’t stop there. Their lunch and dinner menus are a constant crowd pleaser. Unsure what to order? Not a problem at Tally’s. Order the Indecision Menu, you’ll pick how many courses you want, and the chef does the rest. There is a catch though. Ordering the Indecision Menu must be agreed upon by everyone at the table – but trust us, it’s worth it.

3 - Murphy's Pub & Grill
Make your way to the local watering hole, Murphy’s Pub & Grill! To top off their cozy and relaxed atmosphere and expansive outdoor seating, Murphy’s serves up some delicious food and thirst-quenching beverages. Besides the killer sweet potato fries, and South Dakota staples like Buffalo Meatloaf, we recommend ordering a plate (or two) of Fancy Fried Pickles. Locals are also known to enjoy this mouthwatering appetizer as their meal.
4 - Colonial House
For breakfast, lunch and dinner, Colonial House is the place to be for many in Rapid City. The atmosphere is a mixture of wide-ranged vintage decor and displaying its slightly weird, yet nostalgic forty-year history – which sounds strange but blends perfectly to create a comfortable space where you feel at home. Experience something extra special by heading to Colonial House the last Friday of every month to take part in Tableside Flambé, prepared by Chef Jeff.

5 - Firehouse Brewing Co.
If you were looking for the ultimate unique atmosphere – you’ve found it. Housed in the original Firehouse of Rapid City and embracing its fiery roots, this restaurant and brewery (South Dakota’s first) is all things fire. From the wall décor of fire hoses, ladders and gear, to providing kids a plastic fireman/woman hat to wear while they devour a delish meal, it’s an atmosphere all will love. Enjoy a locally crafted beer, cider or glass of wine with your meal as you take it all in. During the summer don’t miss out on their patio, featuring a stage for live music and some pretty unbelievable murals.

7 - Independent Ale House
It’s hard to beat the perfect pairing – pizza and beer. And that’s what Independent Ale House does best. Try out one or more of their delicious handcrafted pizzas or salads and have fun selecting something from their rotating taps with 50 options. On top of their expansive tap options, they also serve around 145 different bottles of ciders, crafts and more and offer a great selection of wines.

8 - Delmonico Grill
Using classic techniques like in-house dry aging and a wood-fire grill this steakhouse brings exceptional flavors to life. Delmonico strives to provide locally sourced proteins when possible and seasonal produce found in the Black Hills. Although their menu is rotated seasonally, you’ll find a few favorites, like the French Onion Soup, that have found themselves a permanent home.
