Hydrangea 'So Long Rosy Coumont' (2024)

This brand-new introduction, a hybrid from serrata and macrophylla has been named Hydrangea 'So Long Rosy'. The revolutionary breeding has made it one of the first bred hydrangeas to flower on new growth. Other Hydrangea can take a year to flower but 'So Long Rosy' will re-bloom, producing flowerheads with a vengeance from June until September and sometimes longer. Each flowerhead, comprising of many smaller single blooms, creates a dense dome. Starting off pink, they mature, one at a time to green. Weather resistant, they are not bothered by rain but will make an astounding contribution to your indoor floral creations.Compact by nature, reaching a height and spread of only around 1.2m, it is perfect for a container or in borders. A hardy perennial, the RHS have given Hydrangea macrophylla 'So Long Rosy' a hardiness rating of H6, so will not require winter protection across most of the UK, but will lose its leaves, ready to resprout new foliage in the spring.
