The City of Bixby held its Third Community Workshop for the Comprehensive Plan Update on December 5th, 2017 at Woodlake Church, where approximately 50 people attended. The City of Bixby held the first community workshop for the Comprehensive Plan Update on June 13, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers. There were nearly 70 people that participated in the workshop providing valuable input into the process about issues, opportunities, assets, threats, and aspirations for the city. The workshop provided the opportunity for the public to learn about the Comprehensive Plan Update process and participate in several exercises designed to obtain feedback to ensure the Update addressed the public’s concerns and opportunities.

The survey, open from June 14 to July 8, was completed by over 600 people! This response provides a valuable data set and great insight on how community members view various city’s services (i.e. Police, Fire, and Emergency), quality of life amenities, and aspirations for the city regarding retail shopping and restaurants.
